The mighty Himalayas are known as the spectacular tiara of the vast continent of India as it surmounts the northern edge of the country.  Thus an India tour is incomplete without a visit to the extensive ranges of snow- capped Himalayas.  Explore the scenic beauty of the majestic mountain ranges with a trek to Everest Base Camp. 

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

The journey to the Everest Base Camp trek will begin with your arrival at Kathmandu Airport.  Guests on this day will be welcomed by our representative with a planned tour for trekking at Everest.  Thereafter guests will be escorted to the hotel booked previously for an overnight stay.  The day will be free for relaxation and for gearing up for a magnificent journey ahead.

Day 02: Kathmandu- Lukla

On this day guests will first relish an appetizing meal in the morning and thereafter will drive to the airport from where they will board the flight to Lukla which is 2700m above sea level.  Situated in the heart of the Khumbu region Lukla is where your trekking tour to Everest Base Camp will begin.  A naturalist provided by our team will escort you through out the journey as the trek begins on a comparatively easier level.  This three to four hour trek will end at Phakding where you will camp for the night.

Day 03: Phakding- Namche Bazar

This day of your trekking at Everest will begin in the morning from Phakding to a continuation trek to Namche Bazar.  Guests will continue Northward trek towards the Dudh Kosi Valley which is a complex trek and is situated 3450m above sea level.  Spend the rest of the day at your accommodation acclimatizing with the atmosphere at these higher mountains. 

Day 04: At Namche

This day will be a leisurely one as the guests will be provided a whole day for sightseeing tour of the place acclimatizing with the atmosphere.  Thus on this day guests will visit the famous Thame Monastery which is situated in the lap of Ama Dablam the main mountain in the region.  View the enchanting vistas of the mighty Himalayas and the snow capped mountains.  Return back to Namche for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Namche- Tyangboche

This day will begin with another continuing trek to Everest Base Camp when guests will begin the trek from Namche to Tyangboche.  The trek from here is mainly a gradual push towards Tyangboche which is 3880m above sea level where guests will rest for some side trips and further acclimatization.   

Day 06: Tyangboche- Pheriche

This day’s trek will begin in the morning as the guests will be escorted by a naturalist to the next camp- Pheriche.  At Pheriche situated 4250m above sea level, again guests will rest and stay for the night ultimately getting prepared for acquainting the body with the atmosphere at such hilly regions.

Day 07: Pheriche- Lobuche

This day will bring another journey and the guests will gear up in the morning for the trek ahead.  The trek will end at Lobuche which is situated at a height of 4930m above sea level, where guests will camp for the night.

Day 08: Lobuche- Gorak Shep

This day’s trek will be another exhilarating voyage amidst the picturesque valleys of mighty Himalayas.  On this day guests will trek to Gorak Shep which is 5130 m above sea level and where they will camp for the night.  The rest of the day will be devoted to an excursion to Kala Pattar.  A visit to Kala Pattar provides the most accessible place to view Mount Everest to view the mountain from base camp to the peak.  Thereafter return to Gorak Shep for the night stay.

Day 09: Gorak Shep- Everest Base Camp- Pheriche

This day of your trek will finally provide an opportunity to visit the panoramic Everest Base Camp.  Guests will be escorted to the Everest Base Camp where they will view the stunning snow capped mountain from close quarters.  Thereafter return to Pheriche where guests will camp for the night.

Day 10: Pheriche- Tengboche

This day will begin your backward journey from a mesmerizing trek to Everest Base Camp.  In the morning guests will trek towards Tengboche which is situated at a height of 3880 m above the sea level.  At Tengboche guests will spend the rest of the night camping here for the night.

Day 11: Tengboche- Namche Bazar

Trek back down to Namche Bazaar on this day.  At Namche Bazaar guests will camp for the night.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar- Lukla

The day will begin with a sumptuous meal in the morning followed by yet another adventurous trek downhill.  On this day guests will be escorted by the naturalist to their next stop which is Lukla.  At Lukla guests will be accommodated in a hotel for a night’s stay for the night.

Day 13: Lukla- Kathmandu

This day of your trek to Everest Base Camp guests will be served an appetizing meal in the morning at the hotel.  Thereafter our representative will escort them to the Airport from where they will board the flight back to Kathmandu.  At Kathmandu our representative will escort you to a hotel where you will lodge for the night.  Rest of the day will be free for leisure in the city.

Day 14: At Kathmandu

This day at Kathmandu will be devoted to a half day sightseeing excursion of the city.  Post breakfast guests will proceed for a city tour visiting Swayambhunatha the famous Monkey Temple along with the huge Boudhanath stupa.  Also visit Patan which is well known for its finest tradition of arts and crafts and a rich cultural heritage.

Day15: At Kathmandu

This day will be provided at leisure to the guests.  On this day guests will enjoy a full day at leisure with an option of visiting some of the local markets for purchasing beauteous mementos to be taken back home.  Thereafter return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 16: Kathmandu- Departure

This day will begin with a sumptuous meal in the morning at the hotel.  Thereafter guests will be escorted to Kathmandu International Airport from where they will be provided all the pre arrangements for their comfortable and convenient journey back home as they board the flight for their desired destination from here.
